Did you know?

  • Did you know that the CWL currently has a membership of nearly 100,000 Catholic women in Canada?
  • That the Catholic Women's League is a national organization rooted in gospel values calling its members to holiness through service to the people of God.
  • Members of the League are dedicated to the preservation of Christian family life, the rights of the unborn, as well as many other social justice issues.
  • That our League attracts women with varied backgrounds: homemakers, lawyers, doctors, counselors, secretaries and teachers?  These multi-talented women are capable of drafting resolutions that deal with topics that concern the welfare of people.  When delegates at the annual national convention adopt these resolutions, they are presented for discussion by members of the national executive to various government departments during their annual meetings.   Many of these resolutions are eventually passed into law, to be acted upon by government agencies.
